The Road to Bethlehem: Advent Bible Study

Lake Junaluska Program Ministries presents a new Advent Bible Study Retreat “Road to Bethlehem” December 7-10 at Lake Junaluska, North Carolina. Using Adam Hamilton’s The Journey: Walking the Road to Bethlehem, travel from Nazareth to Bethlehem in this fascinating look at the birth of Jesus Christ. Discover the historical context and archaeological data on this amazing moment in history as you journey through scripture. Worship services will celebrate the birth of Jesus through a variety of cultural traditions and will feature a Moravian Lovefeast.

The Advent study will be led by Rev. Tim McConnell, Associate Pastor of Long’s Chapel UMC. Dr. Frank Stith, Retired Pastor, will lead a Moravian Lovefeast worship service; Dr. James Warren, Retired Pastor, will teach the history of the hymns of Advent; and Caroline Merrill, Music Director at Long’s Chapel, will lead morning worship.
